Light Protection

Collection: Light Protection

Light mitigation is the most critical component of any skincare routine, full stop. UV is only part of the story. Visible light, especially blue light and high energy visible light, drives pigment, accelerates aging, and undoes the work of every other product in your routine. If you are investing in retinoids, exosomes, peptides, or in clinic treatments, you must protect that investment daily.

Who it is for.

Every client, every skin tone, every day, indoors and outdoors. Especially critical for clients addressing pigment, melasma, post inflammatory hyperpigmentation, post procedure recovery, and anti aging.

How to choose.

Mineral sunscreens (zinc oxide, titanium dioxide) sit on top of the skin and reflect light. Tinted mineral sunscreens add iron oxides, which are the only ingredients clinically shown to block visible light. Chemical sunscreens absorb UV and are often more cosmetically elegant but offer less visible light protection. Antioxidants (vitamin C, vitamin E, ferulic acid, niacinamide) layer underneath SPF and neutralize free radicals the sunscreen cannot block.

Pairs with.

SPF is always the final step in your morning routine. Reapply every two hours of direct exposure. Antioxidants go on first thing in the morning after cleansing and any prepping serums, before moisturizer and SPF.
