How to Use

Cleanse the spot and pat it completely dry, before any other skincare goes on. Press a patch on gently and smooth the edges so it lies flat. Leave it on for at least six hours or overnight, and replace it with a fresh one once it turns white or starts to lift. Carry on with the rest of your routine around the patch.

The Science

Hydrocolloid is a soft, absorbent material. When it meets moisture, it forms a soft gel that absorbs fluid, keeps the surface moist and shields it from fingers and the outside world.

In a randomized, double blind pilot study, a hydrocolloid dressing helped spots look less red within three to seven days, compared with ordinary skin tape. A 2025 review of hydrocolloids in dermatology describes this early evidence as promising.
