Brighter, more even skin as dark marks visibly fade.

Dark spots, patches and the marks left behind by breakouts or sun are holding on. Your tone looks uneven even on your best skin days.

Even Intensive visibly fades discoloration and dark marks while it brightens and smooths skin. Its b.r.y.t.e.r. technology works on brown, red and yellow tones together, pairing tranexamic acid, alpha arbutin, niacinamide and vitamin C with a gentle blend of lactic, glycolic and citric acids that resurfaces. SkinBetter adds Allyl PQQ, its patented antioxidant, to help limit the oxidative stress behind uneven tone.

Who It Is For

Anyone with lingering dark spots, patches or marks who wants a brighter, more even tone.

What You Will See, and When

Skin looks brighter within four weeks, when 98 percent of people in the brand's study agreed. At twelve weeks, the look of pigmentation had improved by 42 percent.

How to Use

Use morning and night. After cleansing, apply Plated first if you use it, then smooth one to two pumps of Even Intensive over your face, ears, neck and chest. Let it absorb fully before your moisturizer. In the morning, sunscreen goes on last.

The Science

Even Intensive works on the look of brown, red and yellow tones together, and its alpha hydroxy acids lift away surface cells that already carry excess pigment. Ziziphus leaf extract addresses the look of yellowing, and Allyl PQQ neutralizes free radicals.

In a twelve week study of women with mild to severe discoloration, graded with a standard pigmentation scale, twice daily use improved pigmentation by 42 percent, skin texture by 46 percent and dullness by 47 percent. Participants included a range of skin tones, and no increase in redness or dryness was seen.

Questions

Can I use it with a retinoid?Yes. Use Even Intensive first at night and your retinoid after it.
Was it studied on deeper skin tones?Yes. The published study included a range of skin tones, including deeper skin.
Why does sunscreen matter with it?Daily sunscreen protects the more even tone you are building.

Why a Routine Made for You Works Better

General advice is written for everyone, so it has to assume nothing about you. It can tell you what is safe. It cannot tell you what will work for your skin.

Skin changes when it is challenged just enough, then given time to recover and adapt. That amount is different for every person, and it moves as your skin gets stronger. Ask too much and your skin spends its energy recovering instead of improving. Ask too little and nothing changes. Finding that point for you, and moving it at the right time, is where results come from.

Where that point sits depends on:

  • Your skin: its history, how it reacts, and what it is doing today
  • Your health: hormones, medications, pregnancy and any condition that changes how skin behaves
  • Your lifestyle: sleep, stress, diet, sun, exercise and climate
  • Your routine: what you use now, and what has and has not worked before
  • Your goals: what you most want to change
  • Your expectations and timeline: how soon you want to see change, and what is realistic for your skin
  • Your consistency: how much time and how many steps you will keep up with, because the best routine is the one you actually do
  • Your treatments: what you have had and what you have planned

A skin therapist weighs all of this, builds a routine you can keep, and adjusts it as your skin responds. That is why we guarantee our products when they are part of a routine designed by one of our skin therapists. If you have been reading general advice, bring your questions. We will help you sort out what applies to you and what does not.
